Vegan TOMS

TOMS have captured the hearts of do-gooders around the world with their One-For-One mission: For every pair of TOMS purchased, the company gives a pair to a child in need. Now, they are focusing on making their shoes more eco-friendly. They've introduced a new line of vegan shoes that are made of 67% hemp and 33% recycled plastic bottles. The leather insole is being replaced with a microfiber insole, and to make sure everyone knows that your TOMS are different, the TOMS tag is printed in green instead of black, of course! Right now they are only available at select Whole Foods. By springtime, they will be launched in several other markets.

Barney's Recycles!!

It's no secret that Matt&Nat have been making stylish, vegan bags for years.  Now, the company is focusing on using more eco-friendly material, and phasing out PVC.  Two of their bag collections feature the use of 100% recycled plastic bottles and  the other is made from treated, recycled cardboard.  Check out some of their new bags for Fall 2008:
